Dr. Fawaz Sabri

CEO

Dr. Fawaz Sabri is the Chief Executive Officer of Capital Bridge Investments Ltd, a DIFC Category 3C company regulated by the DFSA. With over 35 years of executive experience across Europe and the Middle East, he has built a distinguished track record in fundraising, financial structuring, and investment management, spanning both the public and private sectors.

A thought leader in Sustainable and Impact Finance, Dr. Sabri is known for structuring bankable, risk-mitigated, and SDG-aligned investment models that attract capital to high-impact sectors such as renewable energy, water, local development, and MSME finance. His advisory and leadership roles have extended to UN agencies, private equity funds, and development institutions, with notable success in post-crisis environments and sanction-restricted markets.

Dr. Sabri also brings deep expertise in Islamic finance, having led the design and deployment of Sharia compliant investment vehicles, and has spearheaded private placements and IPOs, successfully guiding corporate turnarounds and growth-stage transitions.

He holds a PhD in Monetary Economics from La Sorbonne University (Paris I) and a Master’s Degree in International Finance from Paris Dauphine University.

Dr. Sabri continues to advise institutions, funds, and governments on innovative financing structures that bridge commercial investment with long-term development impact.

Balbeer Singh

MLRO & Governance Manager

Balbeer is an accomplished Compliance and Financial Crime professional with 5 years of consulting experience supporting a wide range of firms in the DIFC and ADGM, including asset managers, venture capital, money services, and law firms as well as a real estate crowdfunding platform.

Balbeer is acting as an outsourced Compliance Officer and MLRO for CBI DIFC.

Previously, Balbeer served as an outsourced Compliance Officer and MLRO at 10 Leaves Group, as an Assistant Manager in Risk and Compliance at AJMS Global Consulting, and as a Senior Associate in Compliance Audit and Advisory Services at HLB International, all based in Dubai.

Balbeer holds a Master’s degree in Commerce from CSJM University, India, and holds a number of professional qualifications, including the ACAMS Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and the Certified Management Accountant qualification from the Institute of Management Accountants, USA.

Ghassan Zeidan

Risk & Compliance Manager

Ghassan Zeidan is the Founder & CEO of Paragon Consulting Partners, a risk management, internal audit, and ESG consultancy firm. He has 20 years of combined experience in consultancy, banking, and financial services, during which he developed expertise in risk management, ESG and sustainability, and internal audit and assurance.

Prior to establishing Paragon Consulting Partners, Ghassan had a long and distinguished career at elite institutions such as HSBC, Bank of America, Barclays, EY and Deloitte in London, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Doha. Most recently, he was Head of Internal Audit & Risk Assurance at J. Awan & Partners. He was also previously the Head of Business Risk for Lending and Capital Markets at HSBC and Head of the EMEA Assurance team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch – both in London. His extensive experience across the 3 lines of defence and exemplary record have established him as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.

Ghassan is also committed to professional development and holds the following relevant qualifications:

  • Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) Certifications from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP)
  • MBA from the University of Oxford
  • Internal Audit and Risk (IACert) from the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors

Michael Frick, CFA

Investment Director – Head of Investments

Michael Frick, CFA, leads the investment strategy and activities at Capital Bridge Investments (CBI), leveraging over 18 years of expertise in Private Equity, M&A, Strategic Investments, and Private Credit. As a German national and known for driving value across diverse sectors and international markets, Michael plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing CBI’s investment vision.

At CBI, Michael oversees the origination, execution, and management of high-impact investment opportunities, aligning the firm’s capital allocation with its strategic objectives. He is instrumental in building key partnerships, structuring innovative financial solutions, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects that contribute to CBI’s growth and success.

Before joining CBI, Michael held the position of Senior Vice Principal at Lakemore Partners, where he directed investments across the firm’s $1.7 billion real estate and private credit portfolio. His leadership was critical in structuring complex deals, managing joint ventures, and driving returns across multi-sector assets.

Earlier in his career, Michael gained invaluable experience at Merrill Lynch’s Investment Banking division in London, where he worked on large-scale M&A and IPO transactions. He also held senior roles at a regional Private Equity firm and a Multi-Family Office, fostering his expertise in managing diverse asset classes.

As a CFA charterholder, Michael combines a disciplined approach to investment management with a commitment to driving sustainable growth and innovation. His dedication to delivering long-term value and deepening meaningful partnerships defines his leadership at CBI.

Nader Haffar

Independent Non-Executive Director

For the past 25 years, Nader Haffar has been on the forefront of the ever-changing and highly demanding world of management consultancy.

As Chairman and CEO of KPMG in the Lower Gulf (UAE and Oman) from 2018 until 2023 Nader immediately became the driving force of change within the firm. Echoing KPMG’s values of integrity and excellence, Nader introduced firm-wide policies that led to dramatic growth in the last four years with a keen focus on Emiratization and Omanization,corporate social responsibility, and putting employees at the heart of the firm’s efforts.

Today, Nader leads investment companies in different fields and he is board member in varios important entities such as Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Al Futtaim Group.

Ambreen Manzoor is a qualified Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in the financial services sector, specializing in accounting, finance, and regulatory compliance within the UAE’s leading financial jurisdictions — the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) and the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA).

As CFO, Ambreen brings a proven track record in managing end-to-end finance functions, including financial reporting, capital planning, liquidity management, and statutory compliance. She is highly skilled in the preparation of financial statements and guiding organizations through complex regulatory frameworks, particularly around capital adequacy, client money protection, and liquidity requirements.

Ambreen plays a key strategic role in financial forecasting and long-term planning, helping businesses maintain financial resilience and operational efficiency. With a sharp analytical mindset and a deep understanding of UAE financial regulations, she ensures robust financial governance and supports sustainable business growth.
