Fawaz Sabri

CEO

Mr. Sabri holds a PhD degree in Monetary Economics from University of Paris La Sorbonne, and a Master’s Degree in International Finance and Monetary Economics from University of Paris Dauphine. 

Mr. Sabri is Chief Technical Advisor for Private and Banking Sectors development within United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

For over 33 years, he possesses   versatile and accomplished Senior Executive Management  experience in the areas of Project, Corporate and Innovative Finance. He has held several senior positions in various financial and investment sectors in the Middle East and Europe.

Mr. Sabri also has extensive experience in Sustainable Finance: design and implementation of innovative financing structures.

  • He has  rich exposure to managing transactions and analyzing complex projects, setting innovative financial models to enhance the “bankability” of the projects, mitigate risks, increase profitability, introducing sustainability frameworks with Ecosystem reforms and support investment decision making.

Balbeer Singh

MLRO & Governance Manager

Balbeer is an accomplished Compliance and Financial Crime professional with 5 years of consulting experience supporting a wide range of firms in the DIFC and ADGM, including asset managers, venture capital, money services, and law firms as well as a real estate crowdfunding platform.

Balbeer is acting as an outsourced Compliance Officer and MLRO for CBI DIFC.

Previously, Balbeer served as an outsourced Compliance Officer and MLRO at 10 Leaves Group, as an Assistant Manager in Risk and Compliance at AJMS Global Consulting, and as a Senior Associate in Compliance Audit and Advisory Services at HLB International, all based in Dubai.

Balbeer holds a Master’s degree in Commerce from CSJM University, India, and holds a number of professional qualifications, including the ACAMS Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and the Certified Management Accountant qualification from the Institute of Management Accountants, USA.

Ghassan Zeidan

Risk & Compliance Manager

Ghassan Zeidan is the Founder & CEO of Paragon Consulting Partners, a risk management, internal audit, and ESG consultancy firm. He has 20 years of combined experience in consultancy, banking, and financial services, during which he developed expertise in risk management, ESG and sustainability, and internal audit and assurance.

Prior to establishing Paragon Consulting Partners, Ghassan had a long and distinguished career at elite institutions such as HSBC, Bank of America, Barclays, EY and Deloitte in London, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Doha. Most recently, he was Head of Internal Audit & Risk Assurance at J. Awan & Partners. He was also previously the Head of Business Risk for Lending and Capital Markets at HSBC and Head of the EMEA Assurance team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch – both in London. His extensive experience across the 3 lines of defence and exemplary record have established him as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.

Ghassan is also committed to professional development and holds the following relevant qualifications:

  • Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) Certifications from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP)
  • MBA from the University of Oxford
  • Internal Audit and Risk (IACert) from the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors

MSc Finance from Durham University; BA Accounting and Maths from Newcastle University.

Zohaib Rajput

CFO

Zohaib Rajput is a seasoned professional with over a decade of extensive experience in Accounting, Corporate Finance, Investments, Risk Management, and Compliance. Throughout his distinguished career, he has held pivotal roles at leading industry institutions, including PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Currently, he serves at an accounting firm renowned for delivering specialized finance outsourcing services to a prestigious clientele.

Mr. Rajput is a member of professional bodies such as the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA-ICAEW), the Fellowship of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), and a holder of the Business and Finance Professional (BFP) designation. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance & Risk Management) and a Master of Commerce degree.

During his professional tenure, he has managed the preparation of numerous financial statements in full compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). His responsibilities have included overseeing all aspects of external audits from initiation to completion for various organizations. Additionally, he has successfully managed investment portfolios exceeding USD 125 million.

Michael Frick

Investment Director – Head of Investments

Michael Frick, CFA, leads the investment strategy and activities at Capital Bridge Investments (CBI), leveraging over 18 years of expertise in Private Equity, M&A, Strategic Investments, and Private Credit. As a German national and known for driving value across diverse sectors and international markets, Michael plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing CBI’s investment vision.

At CBI, Michael oversees the origination, execution, and management of high-impact investment opportunities, aligning the firm’s capital allocation with its strategic objectives. He is instrumental in building key partnerships, structuring innovative financial solutions, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects that contribute to CBI’s growth and success.

Before joining CBI, Michael held the position of Senior Vice Principal at Lakemore Partners, where he directed investments across the firm’s $1.7 billion real estate and private credit portfolio. His leadership was critical in structuring complex deals, managing joint ventures, and driving returns across multi-sector assets.

Earlier in his career, Michael gained invaluable experience at Merrill Lynch’s Investment Banking division in London, where he worked on large-scale M&A and IPO transactions. He also held senior roles at a regional Private Equity firm and a Multi-Family Office, fostering his expertise in managing diverse asset classes.

As a CFA charterholder, Michael combines a disciplined approach to investment management with a commitment to driving sustainable growth and innovation. His dedication to delivering long-term value and deepening meaningful partnerships defines his leadership at CBI.

Turki Alshehri

Chairman of the Board

Mr. Alshehri holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.

He holds the position of Chief Executive Officer of Khair Inorganic Chemical Industries Co. The plant is the first Soda Ash manufacturer in the GCC, the largest in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and the largest Calcium Chloride manufacturer in the world.

Mr. Alshehri has over 23 years of experience in production management, chemical engineering cross function management, process optimization & control, in-process quality control, standardizing production norms, quality compliance with a high growth-oriented organization in petrochemical Industries.  As a Chemical Engineer, he specializes in plant capacity enhancement, Plant Installation /erection activities, process development & optimization, new projects evaluations, commissioning, pre-commissioning & start up Activities, design evaluations, HAZOP studies, root cause analysis, energy & quality audits, Lean Manufacturing and Cost- benefit analysis.

Abdullah Alghamdi

Independent Non-Executive Director

As a chemical engineer with over 30 years of practical experience, Mr Alghamdi gained technical qualifications in DCS Control Systems, YOKOGAWA & amp, and Delta-V Emerson System.

After graduating from High School, he began his career with SABIC PETROKEMYA as an Advance Operator, from which he went on to hold a number of engineering positions in Gulf Farabi, SIP CHEM, and currently in Critical Engineering Co as Chairman. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds the certificate in APPLO Root Cause Analysis.

Hasan Chahin

Executive Director

Hasan Chahin holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Damascus University and a master’s degree in Construction Management.

Mr. Chahin is the CEO of Critical Engineering company, one of the largest company specialized in industrial and infra structure construction in the East Region of KSA.

He has over 25 years of experience in engineering design and construction management. He has deep understanding in  Technical, Contractual, Financial, Managerial, Administration, and Constructional requirements for various types of engineering projects. His professional experience includes Oil & Gas Projects with ARAMCO, Pipeline & Steel Tanks projects with SWCC industrial Projects, Sabic, Real-estate, Desalination Plants with MARAFIQ, Infrastructures SCECO, Commercial Complexes, and Multi-storey buildings.

Nader Haffar

Independent Non-Executive Director

For the past 25 years, Nader Haffar has been on the forefront of the ever-changing and highly demanding world of management consultancy.

As Chairman and CEO of KPMG in the Lower Gulf (UAE and Oman) from 2018 until 2023 Nader immediately became the driving force of change within the firm. Echoing KPMG’s values of integrity and excellence, Nader introduced firm-wide policies that led to dramatic growth in the last four years with a keen focus on Emiratization and Omanization,corporate social responsibility, and putting employees at the heart of the firm’s efforts.

Today, Nader leads investment companies in different fields and he is board member in varios important entities such as Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Al Futtaim Group.
